Rolf-Detlef Treede MD
Rolf-DetlefTreede is Professor of Neurophysiology at the Center for Biomedicine and Medical Technology Mannheim (CBTM) of the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg in Mannheim, Germany. His wide ranging interests in the field of pain include the mechanisms and treatment of neuropathic pain, the cortical representation of pain, peripheral nociceptive transduction mechanisms, pain assessment by quantitative sensory testing and clinical neurophysiology. |
Professor Patrick Mantyh
Patrick Mantyh is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and the Cancer Center at the University of Arizona, USA. He is an international leader in developing a mechanism based understanding of cancer pain and non-malignant skeletal pain. He has published over 200 original articles and received numerous awards for his ground breaking research in helping to develop novel, mechanism based therapies for treating bone cancer pain and more recently for fracture pain. |

Dr Phoon Ping Chen
Dr Chen, Head of Anaesthesiology and Operating Services at the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole & the North District Hospitals in Hong Kong, is also Director of Pain Management Services, New Territory East (Health) Cluster region. His interests range from acute & neuropathic pain management and cognitive behavioural intervention to local epidemiology and education. Dr Chen chairs the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists’ Pain Medicine Board and is President of the Hong Kong Pain Society. |
Dr Tim Deer
Dr. Timothy Deer is the President and CEO of the Center for Pain Relief in Charleston, West Virginia. He is also a clinical professor at West Virginia University. Dr. Deer serves as a regular reviewer for multiple professional journals, and is a member of the editorial board of many. Dr. Deer serves as the lead investigator on a number of clinical research projects, in the field of Pain Medicine, through a highly regarded research program at St. Francis Hospital. |
