Submit Abstract

Call for Papers deadline: 1 October 2018

How do I submit abstracts?
Abstracts must be submitted online via the conference website using the abstract submission portal.

What type of abstract can be submitted?
Abstracts can be submitted as individual Papers, individual Posters or a Symposium (group of 2-3 papers). Individuals can submit one Abstract as a presenting author for an individual Paper as well as one Abstract as a presenting author for a Poster presentation. In addition to an individual Paper and/or Poster, individuals may also be part of a Symposium. All abstracts are limited to no more than 150 words. Paper presentations will be limited to 15 minutes. Please note that if there is insufficient room for a submitted individual Paper, that Paper may be accepted as a Poster. The language for all Abstract submissions as well as presentations at the conference sessions is English.

What information is needed for a paper or poster submission?

Submissions for a paper or poster only require one submission.

The following information is needed for a paper or poster submission online:

  • Submitter Information (Name, E-mail, Affiliation, Phone, Country)
  • Abstract Title
  • Abstract Author Information (for all authors: Name, Degree, E-mail, Affiliation, Country)
  • Presenting Author
  • Abstract Text* (no more than 150 words)

What information is needed for a symposium submission?

Submissions for a symposium require three separate submissions.

The following information is needed for symposium submissions online:

  • Submitter Information (Name, E-mail, Affiliation, Phone, Country)
  • Participating Paper Title
  • Participating Paper Author Information (for all authors: Name, Degree, E-mail, Affiliation, Country)
  • Presenting Author for each participating paper
  • Symposium Abstract Text* (should be the same on all participating papers)
  • Symposium Organizer (should be the same on all participating papers)
  • Symposium Title (should be the same on all participating papers)

*Each participating paper submitted as part of a symposium (no more than 3) will need to provide separate online submissions with specific paper information. The submissions for each symposium paper will then use identical abstract text which should describe the overall theme of the proposed symposium, and further indicate an identical symposium organizer and title. Participating papers in symposiums do not need to provide paper specific abstract texts.

Who selects the abstracts and decides how they will be presented?
All submitted abstracts will go through a blind peer-review process carried out by the Scientific Program Committee. The Scientific Program Committee makes the final selection of abstracts to be included in the conference program.

When will submitters be notified about abstract acceptance?
Peer reviewed decisions will be made by the ISEI Scientific Program Committee no later than December 15, 2018. All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the conference website and conference app. More information about presentation and poster formatting will be provided upon acceptance.
