Dr Frank Barbagallo

Dr Frank Barbagallo is currently practising in aesthetic medicine in Kew Victoria and is a longstanding medical educator and RACGP-accredited activity provider in Melbourne. His special interest is in employing a holistic approach to non-surgical facial rejuvenation including the use of lasers and other technologies.

 

 

Philip Bekhor

Dr Philip Bekhor

Philip Bekhor is currently Director of the Laser Unit, Department of Dermatology at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne and a Moh’s Surgeon at the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria. His special research interests include the use of lasers in Dermatology, skin cancer surgery, the diagnosis and management of birthmarks and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.  He is involved in clinical trials and is published in international and Australian journals.

 

Ralph Bright

Dr Ralph Bright

Dr Ralph Bright (MBBS, FACCS, FFARACS, FANZCA, FRACGP) is a medical practitioner with over 30 years experience. He is a Fellow and Member of many cosmetic medicine organisations including the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia and the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Bright has been practising as a medical  laser surgeon since 1998 and as a founding director of Macquarie Lasers, has hands-on experience with CO2 Lasers.

 

R Glen  Calderhead

Dr R Glen Calderhead

Currently heading up the Clinical Institute for Phototherapy and Photosurgery Research in Ilsan, South Korea, Dr Calderhead has over 30 years’ international experience in lasers and other light sources for Photosurgery and phototherapy. A keen and active clinical researcher and prolific international presenter, Calderhead has published extensively on the field, and is the author and co-author of, and contributor to, a number of books on phototherapy and photosurgery.

Sue Davies

Mrs Sue Davies

Sue is the Proprietor and Program Director of the Australian Institute of Ultrasound and has been involved in ultrasound in a clinical & educational role for more than 30 years. For the last 18 years she has been developing and teaching programs for point of care ultrasound practitioners over a wide range of applications.

Mrs Davies will be presenting in the pre-conference workshop.

 

Douglas Grose

Dr Douglas Grose

Dr Douglas Grose is a well known conference speaker and teacher in the area of cosmetic medicine and a practice management consultant with a particular focus on develping practices which have an income focus outside Medicare. Dr Grose developed Australian Skin Clinics on the Gold Coast and was the co-founder of ASAP Cosmeceutical skin care products. His main interests are the management of acne and diffuse sun damaged skin

Christopher Leat

Dr Christopher Leat

Dr Christopher Leat has concentrated on Cosmetic Medicine since 1995, and opened Envisage Clinic on the Gold Coast in 1998. Having over 16 years experience in the field, and being one of the early adopters of Cosmetic Medicine, has made Dr. Leat a sought after and influential figure in Australian Cosmetic Medicine. He lectures regularly at conferences and is a clinical trainer for several companies, teaching both beginner and advanced techniques to other doctors and clinics.

Dr Leat will be presenting in iNova's Product Demonstration on Saturday afternoon.

Davin Lim

Dr Davin Lim

Dr Davin Lim is a Cosmetic and Laser Dermatologist, whose study and training has taken him from Queensland to the UK, USA and Asia. His speciality interest is in the field of laser dermatology, acne treatments, chemical peels, BTX and skin cancer management.  He is an expert in laser management of acne scars, pigmentation and vascular conditions. Over the past decade Dr Lim has published and presented in International journals and meetings with over 20 credits to his name and oversees the Laser and Cosmetic Division of Westside Dermatology.

Frank McLeod

Dr Frank McLeod

Dr McLeod is trained as  physician in General Medicine and has an interest and background in cosmetic practice from a back ground in prison administration and drug addiction treatment. This path has made it clear to him that the removal of gaol tattoos which stereotype and  stigmatise those who carry them is important in their rehabilitation and reintegration into the general community.

 

 

Michael Molton

Dr Michael Molton

Dr Michael Molton has performed more than 2,200 liposuction cases, extensive work in laser surgery and facial rejuvenation over a career spanning 14 years in the field of cosmetic medicine and surgery. Dr Michael Molton has personally instructed more than fifty practitioners in the finer arts and sciences of cosmetic medicine through various workshops and has an extensive background, education, experience and credentials in medicine.

 

 

Tony Moore

Dr Tony Moore

Dr Tony Moore is a highly respected Plastic, Reconstructive, Cosmetic and Laser Surgeon and the senior partner of Adelaide Plastic Surgery Associates. Tony is credited with the introduction of laser treatments into the Plastic Surgical curriculum in Australia giving regular lectures and running training courses. He is an invited Member of the Faculty of the World Association of Laser Therapists and is regularly invited to speak as guest Professor at International meetings.

 

Kate Morlet-Brown

Dr Kate Morlet-Brown

Dr Kate Morlet-Brown is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. She is a specialist concerned with disease, injuries and deformities of the face, jaws and mouth, and this may be related to the function or aesthetics (appearance) of these structures. She holds fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England, both in the specialist area of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

Jayson Oates

Mr Jayson Oates

Mr Jayson Oates is a fully qualified surgeon specialising in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, particularly of the face. He performs all cosmetic facial plastic surgery and liposuction to the body. Mr Oates is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and is the medical director of the Academy Facial Plastic & Laser Specialist clinic. In '05 Mr Oates was elected President of the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

 

Melanie  Palm

Dr Melanie Palm

Dr. Melanie Palm is the founding director of Art of Skin MD, assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego, and staff physician at Scripps Encinitas Memorial Hospital. Dr. Palm is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon. An accomplished author, Dr. Palm has published over 20 articles in the dermatological literature and co-authored two book chapters on various topics including liposuction, photoproteciton/sunscreen use, cosmetic injectables, vein therapy, and laser technology. 

Michael Rich

Dr Michael Rich

Dermatologist, Melbourne, Australia, enRich Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Centre 

Dr. Rich is one of Australia’s leading cosmetic dermatologists and speaks frequently at major academic dermatology meetings. His practice includes 6 physicians and 20 lasers. He has been very impressed with the Excel V for facial telangiectasia and has been using it for poikiloderma and diffuse redness, as well. He finds the Excel V much easier to use than any other vascular laser, and the laser doesn’t overheat the treatment room. Adam  Rish

Dr Adam Rish

Dr Adam Rish (BMedSc MB BS BA(Hons) MFA FFMACCS) is NSW representative of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia. He lectures internationally and has been involved in laser and cosmetic medicine since 1985. His clinic, Laserase, specializes in minimally invasive cosmetic surgical aesthetic procedures. 

 

Eddie Roos

Dr Eddie Roos

Dr Eddie Roos graduated from medicine in 1988. He worked in South Africa for 10 years before moving to Australia in 1998. Dr Roos is the founder of Cosmetic Elegance Clinic in Toowoomba, QLD. Working in rural Queensland has exposed him to the effects of skin cancer, he has a keen interest in preserving his patient's cosmetic appearance during skin cancer surgery. His background is also in laser work and light based therapies. 

Andrew Saxton

Mr Andrew Saxton

Andrew was acknowledged as Best Lawyers Health & Aged Care lawyer of the year, Sydney 2012 and received the  lawyer of the year award in the category of Medical Negligence in 2011. Andrew specialises in health law, insurance, risk management, professional indemnity, product liability and public liability, litigation and dispute resolution. 

Tina Viney

Mrs Tina Viney

Tina Viney is the President and CEO of the Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network, a national member-based organisation servicing the aesthetics industry in the area of standards, education and business tools.

Tina has been instrumental in the introduction of tertiary qualifications for Aesthetics in Australia and the subsequent Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetic Therapies) with the University of New England.  She is currently on the Curriculum Advisory Committee for the development of a new Degree qualification – Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics) with the MHM Institute of Higher Learning. 

 

Laurence Walsh

Professor Laurence Walsh

Laurence Walsh is the Head of the University of Queensland School of Dentistry. He is a long standing member of the UQ Centre for Biophotonics and Laser Science, and maintains a part-time private practice as a dental specialist within which he has used multiple lasers for over 20 years. He has published extensively in oral pathology and dermatopathology as well as in laser science, laser safety and biophotonics, and he has contributed to the development of national guidelines and standards for laser use in health care settings.

Professor Walsh will be presenting in the pre-conference workshop.

Paul Weaver

Dr Paul Weaver

Appearance Medicine Physician and Procedural Phlebologist. MB BS (Lond), Dip. Obst. (Otago) FRNZCGP, Certificate of Sclerotherapy (Australasian College of Phlebology), Board Member Australasian Society of Cosmetic Medicine and Fellow Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine.

Paul has over 30 years medical experience in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. He is a procedural doctor specialising in the areas of appearance medicine and phlebology. Paul has been instrumental in establishing the Certificate of Procedural Phlebology through ACAM. 

Dr Weaver will be presenting in the pre-conference workshop.
