Invitation from the Convenor

For eight consecutive years the Laser and Cosmetic Medicine Conference (LCMC) has been providing medical professionals and cosmetic technicians with the knowledge and skills to assist them in keeping up to date with this rapidly expanding area of medicine.

In 2013, the 9^th LCMC Conference will be held in Sydney from 16-17 November at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel, and will again present an outstanding program featuring plenary sessions, demonstrations and workshops. In 2013 the program will include more surgical procedures, and new and innovative non-surgical cosmetic medicine procedures, including:

• Injectables for beginners and advanced practitioners
• Laser and Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL), including newer fractionated technology
• New advances in skin care products
• Latest techniques and products
• Liposuction and liposculpture
• Stem cell-latest advances
• Facial rejuvenation techniques

In addition, the comprehensive concurrent paramedical program focuses on the clinical aspects of IPL and laser treatment techniques. The course is government accredited and recognised as an official Radiation/Laser Safety Officers Certificate.

November is a fabulous month to take a short break in Sydney. There is the wonderful harbour, the Sydney Opera House, beautiful beaches and a plethora of fabulous restaurants. The conference is located in central Sydney, with world-class shopping on your doorstep – perfect for some pre-Christmas purchases. As always, there is a great social program aligned with the academic meeting to let you mingle with colleagues and internationally recognised experts in a relaxed atmosphere.
