In August, average temperatures range from 6.5 - 14.2°C (43.7 - 57.6°F), and snow falls in the north-east of Victoria, known as High Country. The weather is frequently cold and cloudy, and nights can be accompanied by frosts. Heavy rain is rare at this time of year.

The dress code is smart casual for the Conference and Welcome Reception, and cocktail for the Conference Dinner.
All delegates will need to collect their registration packs from the desk to access the Conference. Please wear your name badge for admission to all sessions, exhibition, catering breaks and social functions. Please direct any questions you may have regarding registration, accommodation, or social functions to the Conference Secretariat staff at this desk.
The Conference App is where you can read the most up to date program, be informed of any news or opportunities during the conference and to participate fully in all the conference events. You will have receive a personalised invitation to download and log in to the app.
Catering and Dietary Requirements
Full Registration: All morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided each day. All food at each social function is included, if you are attending.
Day Registration: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided only for the day you have registered.
All catering breaks will be served within the Grand 5/6/7/L. If you have advised of a specific dietary requirement, meals will be available on a separate dietary catering station. Please note that some vegetarian options are available on the main buffet and additional options available on a separate buffet.
Welcome Reception is scheduled for Wednesday 21 August from 5:00pm.
Conference Dinner is scheduled for Thursday 22 August from 7:00pm.

We have secured rooms at the conference venue and nearby hotels, with discounted rates exclusively for attendees of the conference. Please visit the accommodation page for further information.
All speakers should present themselves to the Speakers Preparation Room, at least 2 hours before their scheduled presentation time, to upload their presentation. A technician will be present in the speakers’ preparation room during registration hours. There will be facility to test and modify your presentation as required. Speaker guidelines and information will be emailed to all speakers prior to the conference. There will also be a facility to upload your presentation prior to your arrival.
Chairpersons will receive an email prior to the Conference with information, guidelines and responsibilities. If you are a chairperson and have additional questions, please contact the Conference Secretariat.
Please note the posters will be on display for the duration of the conference. We kindly ask that you be at your poster to answer questions during catering break times indicated in the conference program. Please click here for Poster Guidelines.
If notification of cancellation is made in writing to the Conference Secretariat prior to 17 July 2019, a full refund will be given (less a $150 processing fee). After this date, no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. Refunds for registration add-ons (dinners etc) will be given at the discretion of the Conference Secretariat
Cancellation of hotel bookings should be made through the Conference Secretariat in writing. For any guaranteed rooms cancelled within 60 days, a charge equal to one night’s accommodation per room booking will apply. All guaranteed rooms cancelled at or within 30 days prior to arrival will incur 100% cancellation fee, this being the number or room nights cancelled times the accommodation rate.
