If you're feeling adventurous, why not try a hot air balloon flight or if you're looking for a little peace and quiet, the Barrington Tops National Park is an excellent destination to take in some of the area's loveliest flora and fauna.

Aside from being a foodies dream, the Hunter Valley is steeped in quaint history and historical architecture, much of which you can learn about by visiting the various museums and historical tours.


Climate

The climate in the Hunter Valley is moderate, similar to a Mediterranean climate. In summer the average daily temperature exceeds 21.1°C and in winter the average minimum temperature is 4.4°C.

January is the hottest month and July the coldest. The heaviest rainfalls are in summer, with a secondary peak just before winter with an average annual rainfall of 750mm.
