Rod Allen

Dr Rod Allen

Dr Rod Allen is a Private Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working at a Tertiary Maternity Hospital, Queensland.  He has been using the Deka MonaLisa Touch minimally invasive vaginal laser treatment for over 12 months to treat symptoms of vaginal atrophy and was the first Gynaecologist in Brisbane to be offering this service.  

 

 

Samantha Eisman

Dr Samantha Eisman

Dr Samantha Eisman obtained her MBChB in Cape Town, South Africa in 1995.  She then went on to graduate with MRCP (UK) in London in 2000 and then commenced dermatology training in London at the Royal Free, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. She completed her dermatology degree in Cape Town, graduating with FCDerm (SA) in 2008.  She was instrumental in setting up and running the first public skin laser service in South Africa as well as providing support and consultations for the Teledermatology service provided to rural practitioners. She relocated with her family to Melbourne in 2012, and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) in 2014.  She practices at Sinclair Dermatology, where she has an interest in hair and nail disorders.

Michael Freeman

Dr Michael Freeman

Dr Michael Freeman (F.A.C.D DERMATOLOGIST / F.R.A.C.G.P. / LASER SPECIALIST / MBBS. (QLD)) is the principal Dermatologist at The Skin Centre, Queensland, specialising in Cosmetic and Laser Dermatology. Originally graduating from The University of Queensland in 1979, he has more than 30 years’ experience in the medical field. In addition to his position at The Skin Centre, Dr Freeman is the Director of Dermatology at the Gold Coast Hospital, a visiting Dermatologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, and is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Bond University.

While a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, he is also a member of the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Queensland and an international member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Freeman holds several more credits to his name, including lead investigator in more than a dozen clinical trials, and educator for other Dermatologists in the use of specialised lasers.

Jack Green

Dr Jack Green

Dr Jack Green is a Consultant Dermatologist at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne and the Skin and Cancer Foundation and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame. He runs a private practices in the Inner East and the Outer West of Melbourne. He has a keen interest in medical and cosmetic dermatology.

 

 

John Javorniczky

Dr John Javorniczky

Dr John Javorniczky is a Senior Regulatory Officer (Non-Ionizing Radiation) in the Regulatory Services Branch of ARPANSA. Dr Javorniczky is also a member of the working group to review IPLs and Lasers for Cosmetic or Beauty Therapy which was established by the Radiation Health Committee (RHC). The RHC has a statutory role to advise the CEO and the Radiation Health & Safety Advisory Council on matters relating to radiation protection, including formulating draft national policies, codes and standards for consideration by the Commonwealth, states and territories. 

Wonserk Kim

Professor Wonserk Kim

Dr Wonserk Kim (M.D, PhD) is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine and is the Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Seoul, Korea. Professor Kim majors in skin surgery and laster treatments, he has a strong interest in scar and keloid studies and has published a number of articles on these topics.

 

 

Christopher Lekich

Dr Christopher Lekich

Dr Christopher Lekich is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology, Medical Director of Vein Doctors Group and Chief Executive Officer of Miami Day Hospital.  Apart from a specialised interest in the modern treatment of varicose veins, he is also formally trained in Law and a Barrister of Law as well as completed an MBA.  His greatest passion is growing a team of expert doctors supported by expert administrative and nursing staff and overseeing quality control and creating systems in delivering healthcare.  

Adrian Lim

Dr Adrian Lim

Dr Adrian Lim is a visiting dermatologist to the Royal North Shore Hospital and a Clinical Trials director at Central Sydney Dermatology. He has published research and given presentations both at home in Sydney and further afield.
Dr Lim is the Director of Training at the Australasian College of Phlebology, Chair of the National Training Committee for the Australasian College of Dermatology, a board member of the Skin and Cancer Foundation (NSW) and is the Medical Director at uRepublic Cosmetic Dermatology and Veins in Sydney's CBD.

Rodney Sinclair

Professor Rodney Sinclair

Professor Rodney Sinclair is Professor of Dermatology at the University of Melbourne and Director of Epworth Dermatology.  Epworth Dermatology conduct clinical research in psoriasis, hair loss and skin cancer prevention and treatment and laboratory research into stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and gene discovery.

He is Past-President of the Australasian Society for Dermatology Research, the Australasian Hair and Wool Research Society and the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria. Professor Sinclair is the co-author of the section on Dermatology in the Oxford Textbook of Medicine, the hair Chapter in Rook and also Bologna and lead author of Therapeutic Guidelines- Dermatology. He has written 13 textbooks of dermatology, and has over 400 research publications. 

Ingrid Tall

Dr Ingrid Tall

Dr Ingrid Tall (MBBS, DIP COMN, FRACGP) is a cosmetic doctor and General Practitioner, former AMA Qld President and TV Medical Journalist who has over twenty years’ experience in the cosmetic medicine industry. Dr Tall obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland in 1988 and was officially registered as a Medical Practitioner on 13 December 1988. She completed the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ Training Course between 1991 and 1996, while simultaneously obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma of Journalism 1993 - 1996.

Dr Tall’s interest with cosmetic medicine began when she was a medical reporter for Channel 10 News reporting on the new phenomenon of laser resurfacing for facial rejuvenation. This propelled her into the cosmetic medicine arena where she has successfully established a combined multi award winning non-surgical (Allergan Black Diamond) and surgical cosmetic clinic and day spa in Brisbane CBD.

Jasbir Narulla

Dr Jasbir Narulla

Dr Jasbir Narulla has been in full time Aesthetic Medicine for over 15years. He has a keen interest in the multiple modality approach to create long term structural changes in skin. These changes can then be maintained easily over many years with minimal, regular strategically timed maintenance programs. He is a founding member and President of ASCM and ACAM as well as Director of his Aesthetic Practice, SKYN. He is the Business Development Manager of iX Biopharma, an innovative, now listed, Pharmaceutical company.

Dr Eddie Roos is the medical director/ owner of Cosmetic Elegance Clinic, he feels privileged in that he has changed the lives of many people across the Darling Downs through his commitment to the medical profession and the health and well being of all his patients. Daniel Galanos

Mr Daniel Galanos

Daniel Galanos is a consultant pharmacist and is pharmacist in charge and clinical trials coordinator at Stenlake Compounding Chemist in Bondi Junction. In his role he is also responsible for formulations including a variety of dermatological preparations for both medical and cosmetic use. Prior to training as a compounding pharmacist, he has worked in various pharmacy settings in the community and hospital.

 

Jean-Michel Huet

JeanMichel Huet is an architect with 29 years of experience, and has been specialising in Healthcare in Australia for the last 18 years. He acquired knowledge in Healthcare design with projects such as the North Shore Private Hospital, the Prince of Wales Hospital redevelopment, the Killara Private Hospital refurbishment.

Michel founded the company Space For Health in 2005 dedicated to the design and construction of Specialist Medical Suites, Medical Centres, Day Hospitals. Space For Health is now part of Group HIS. JeanMichel is focussed on delivering the client brief, providing design solutions and achieving outstanding results at the construction stage. 

Alka Lalji

Dr Alka Lalji

Dr Alka Lalji completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney and practiced as a community pharmacist before undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Biomedical Sciences for which she was awarded the Vice-Chancellors Award of Excellence. Dr Lalji then completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Bond University with her internship being completed through the Gold Coast University. Dr Lalji completed a surgical resident year at St Vincent's Hospital and is currently a general practice registrar with a keen interest in dermatology. Interests include medical education and research with current teaching positions at Bond University, Griffith University and a Surgical Mentor through the Surgical Mentor Association. Dr Lalji is passionate about community health and service, and is an ambassador for Ovarian Cancer Australia and on the Sub-committee for Education and Fundraising at the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation.

Angela Mason is the owner and Managing Director of Healthy Practice Solutions. She is a management, risk and audit consultant for the health care industry working with multiple organisations, private practices and government bodies. Her knowledge spans over various health disciplines including physiotherapy, general practice and specialist practice.She is a Registered Nurse with Cert. Post Grad Nurse Management, Dip. Practice Management, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, AAPM Fellow & Certified PM, AAPM Past National & State President, Honorary Board Member and Expert Member (Multiple Health Bodies), Accreditation Surveyor, Lecturer and Presenter. Malcolm Stuart

Dr Malcolm Stuart

Dr Malcolm Stuart is currently Manager of Medical Services/Senior Medical Advisor at Avant Insurance Ltd.  He trained as a colorectal surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Ohio, and was a VMO Colorectal Surgeon initially at Sydney Hospital and subsequently St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.  More recently Malcolm completed a law degree at the University of New South Wales and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW in 1997.  He is the immediate past President of the Medico-Legal Society of NSW and served for 12 years on the Executive of the Medico-Legal Section of the RACS.  His major interest is in the area of risk management as it applies to medical and surgical practice.

Lee Collins

Associate Professor Lee Collins

Associate Professor Lee Collins (AM BSc(Hons) MSc FACPSEM MARPS) is a medical physicist, and until he retired in 2014, Director of the Medical Physics Department at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, where he now has an honorary position. His interests are in ionising radiation safety, laser safety, diagnostic radiology physics, and nuclear medicine.

Since leaving university in 1968, he has worked in hospitals in Australia and the UK, and during a research appointment in Germany, became interested in laser applications in medicine. He is Chairman of the Standards Australia medical laser committee (which is responsible for AS/NZS 4173 and AS IEC 60601.2.22), and represents Australia at the International Electrotechnical Commission committee TC76 which develops the international laser safety standards from which national standards are derived.

He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2003, and has, or had had, honorary academic roles at the Universities of Sydney, and Western Sydney.
