Cancellation Policy

Registration:
If notification of cancellation is made in writing to the Secretariat prior to Tuesday 26 April 2022, a full refund will be given (less a AU$175 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. Refunds for registration ads-ons (workshops, dinners etc) will be given at the discretion of the Conference Secretariat. Cancellation of hotel bookings should also be made through the Conference Secretariat.

DC Conference & Association Management and the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand adhere to the legal requirements of the Australian and Queensland governments regarding travel and entry to Queensland. Please check the Queensland Government website for the most up to date information.

Delegates should be aware of the Queensland Government's Travel Restrictions and if they relate to them before registering for the conference.

Full refunds for cancelled registrations due to COVID-19 travel restrictions are only available for delegates who are unable to travel to the Gold Coast for RMSANZ 2022 due to their local government area lockdown or travel restrictions.

If you are unable to travel between Monday 6 – Friday 10 June due to you being COVID-19 positive or being considered a close contact, the RMSANZ will offer a credit towards registration for RMSANZ 2023. Please provide documentation in support of your claim e.g. from your GP, employer or State Health Department, to the Conference Secretariat

Full refunds will be offered if the conference is cancelled due to COVID-19. If the conference is moved to virtual, delegates will be offered a full refund, or a partial refund if they wish to still attend the virtual conference. 

The RMSANZ strongly urges all delegates to take out travel insurance. 

Accommodation:
The cancellation fees for accommodation are different for each hotel, please click here, for a list of individual cancellation policies. Cancellations and changes should be made through the Conference Secretariat only.


Photography

There will be photographs taken throughout the conference and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the RMSANZ website and on social media. If you do not want your photograph taken, or used, please notify the photographer onsite at your earliest convenience.

Liability / Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither RMSANZ nor DC Conference & Association Management will accept liability for, but not limited to:

  • Damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, loss;
  • Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference;
  • Loss of international/domestic air fares or accommodation through cancellation for any reason;
  • Medical Expenses.

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate and should be purchased in your country of origin.

Delegates are strongly recommended to take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel. 

Registrations from Commercial Entities 

If you are from a commercial entity and wish to attend RMSANZ 2022, your registration must be connected to the commercial entity supporting the conference and will show as an exhibition registration.

Please contact the Conference Organiser to discuss booth options if you haven’t already secured your booth. 

No standard delegate registrations will be accepted from commercial entities.
